Posted on December 19, 2018
Lavern Heideman & Sons, a family-owned forestry company in operations since 1974, entrusted Autolog with the installation of their new carriage optimizer system at their new sawmill in Eganville, Ontario.
When asked why they chose to partner with Autolog, Mr. Kris Heideman (Vice President) expressed how very happy he was with the quality and service provided by Autolog for their previously installed grade tally system and they were also impressed when visiting an existing Autolog customer for their carriage optimization.
At Lavern Heideman & Sons, performance and functionality were quoted as being the best features of Autolog's carriage optimizer, rating the overall quality of the system as excellent. Allowing for the best log scanning in the industry with multiple laser lines spaced at 6" for an accurate profile reading every 1" along the length of the log, snapshot or continuous scan function modes with up to 120 scans per second, the smallest laser line spacing in the industry, fits any mechanical configuration, True Shape modelling, etc. are among some of the key features our system offers. Along with its simplified architecture, Autolog provides the user with an easy way to learn the system through our user-friendly interface.
Customer experience is of the utmost importance to Autolog, our client’s needs come first, from the initial contact to our 24/7 after-sale service and support, we approach every project with a desire to understand our customer’s need and to deliver accordingly.
According to Mr. Heideman, “we were very impressed how Autolog was willing to develop a cost-effective custom solution that met our very specific requirements. All their staff are professional and knowledgeable and have provided very timely service. We look forward to working with them on future projects”
